Green Brazilian Santos
The least audible of all the coffees which we roast, you may not hear the first or even the second crack as a beginner. So watch the colour of the beans and definitely watch the smoke if you are using a home roaster. This coffee needs to be roasted medium and dropped just until the first pops of the second crack.
This coffee is often used as a base for a coffee shop taste, for a strong espresso blend with with Sumatra Mandheling. This is for a smoother tasting blend with Central and South American varieties including: Colombian, Guatemalan and Peruvian.
****PLEASE BE AWARE THESE ARE RAW, UNROASTED COFFEE BEANS, NOT SUITABLE FOR CONSUMPTION BEFORE BEING ROASTED ****
Throughout any given year, around 40% of the worlds coffee is produced in Brazil and exported through the port of Santos. With around 75% of the coffee from Brazil being grown on smaller scale farms it's often used as a blending coffee. It's generally quite hard to pick out great coffees from this region, but we think you will be suitably happy with this one. First planted in Brazil in 1727, this coffee boasts a mild acidity with a full bodied richness.
