High in Nicaragua’s northern highlands, Jinotega is where coffee truly comes alive. Grown between 1,000 and 1,700 metres above sea level, these Arabica beans benefit from rich volcanic soils, gentle mountain climates, and steady rainfall, a perfect recipe for depth and balance in the cup.

Expect a lively yet round profile, beautifully smooth, with notes of apricot, milk chocolate, and roasted nuts. There’s a natural sweetness here, paired with a gentle fruit acidity that keeps every sip fresh and moreish.

Jinotega is shaped by small-scale farmers who take immense pride in their land and their craft. Many use sustainable farming methods passed down through generations, and coffee sits at the heart of daily life. From hand-picking cherries to careful washing and drying, every step is handled with intention.

Washed and graded SHG EP, this lot features classic Caturra, Bourbon, and Catuai varieties, a true expression of the region’s quality and character. Beyond the cup, Jinotega is a place of cloud forests, waterfalls, and open skies around Lake Apanás, where tradition, nature, and exceptional coffee meet.
