These Peruvian green coffee beans are among our favourites in the roastery, and this latest crop stands out for its comforting chocolatey and butterscotch flavours once roasted. Sustainably shade grown, the coffee plants are treated with care, fed and washed in pure spring water, and the coffee is traditionally farmed by hand, produced without the use of pesticides or chemicals.

The name Tunki comes from a locally found wild bird, also known as the 'cock of the rocks'. Situated high in the mountains amongst the beautiful flora and fauna of the Tambopata Valley, this green Tunki coffee is harvested by the local indigenous Quechua and Aymara speaking families. These proud families have worked the area for generations in harmony with the land, and at the beginning of each season the farmers hold an annual ceremony to the earth, 'Pachamama', to ask for blessings for the coming season.

Our suppliers discovered this coffee many years ago, and since first trying it we haven't bought Peru green coffee from anywhere else. They look after their farmers, and the product is always exceptional.
