French Press
STEP 1
Pre warm the cafetiere with hot water, leave the lid on with the hot water in for 1 - 2 minutes
STEP 2
Weigh out the coffee ideally using scales. We suggest using 45 - 50grams per litre and adjusting to suit your taste
STEP 3
Dispose of the water you used to warm the cafetiere earlier, pop the coffee straight in, pour over just off the boil water. Give the coffee a quick stir to break up any clumps
STEP 4
Allow the coffee to ‘bloom’ this is the Co2 escaping, if the coffee has been roasted in the last 2 weeks allow around a minute, if over 2 weeks allow 30 - 45 seconds
STEP 5
Press the plunger down slightly lower than the surface of the coffee and allow to stand for another 3-4 minutes
STEP 6
Press the plunger all the way down, serve and enjoy!
**TOP TIP**
For a milder brew, add hot water to a cup, that way you get the full flavour with none of the bitterness
