Product Information

Coffee for Viani is sourced from three collection stations, with approximately 70% coming from Mr. Joseel, whose farm is located not far from Quipile—the birthplace of Racafé.

Cup characteristics

This coffee offers a vibrant mix of fruity notes and smooth milk caramel in both fragrance and aroma. Subtle hints of molasses and sweet mandarin add depth, balanced by a bright acidity and a medium, well-rounded body.

Producer: Pérez family

Depending on quality, the cherries are either processed directly on the farm or brought in wet for further handling. Drying typically takes place on-site using a guardiola. The process generally follows a consistent rhythm: cherries are picked on a Monday or Tuesday, depulped the same day, and then fermented for 48 hours.

Once a sufficient volume of coffee—typically between 10,000 and 13,000 kg—has been collected, the load is transported by truck to Bogotá and delivered to the dry mill. There, the coffee undergoes additional sorting and two rounds of cupping before it's bagged and prepared for export.

Joseel has been working with Racafé for over 20 years and sells exclusively to them. The same trusted truck driver has handled the deliveries throughout that time, forming a long-standing partnership built on consistency and reliability.
